BPC-157 is a pentadecapeptide corresponding to a partial sequence of Body Protection Compound, a protein isolated from human gastric juice. It is stable in gastric acid, which is unusual for a peptide of this size and is part of why it has accumulated such a large preclinical literature. Most published work concerns vascular and connective-tissue responses.

Reconstitution & handling
