Semax is the 4-10 fragment of ACTH extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail. The fragment was chosen because it carries the peptide’s effects on the nervous system without its adrenocorticotropic activity, and the tail slows breakdown. Published work centres on neurotrophic factor expression rather than on any endocrine readout.

Reconstitution & handling
Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water introduced slowly against the vial wall — do not inject directly onto the lyophilized cake and do not shake.
