NAD+
100 mg / 500 mg / 1000 mg · Lyophilized powder · SKU WV-NAD
The coenzyme itself, not a precursor. Central to redox reactions and the substrate that sirtuins, PARPs and CD38 all consume.
Compound information
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide is supplied here as the coenzyme rather than as a precursor such as NR or NMN. It sits at the centre of cellular redox chemistry, and separately serves as a consumed substrate for three enzyme families — sirtuins, PARPs and CD38 — which is why NAD+ availability, rather than any single enzyme, is often the variable of interest in ageing and metabolic work.
Research context
- Sirtuin activity and NAD+-dependent deacetylation
- PARP activation and DNA damage response
- CD38 consumption and NAD+ pool depletion
- Mitochondrial redox state and electron transport
Working notes
NAD+ is hygroscopic and degrades in alkaline solution. Prepare fresh and keep the pH near neutral.
Reconstitution & handling
Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water introduced slowly against the vial wall — do not inject directly onto the lyophilized cake and do not shake.
- Store lyophilized at −20 °C, protected from light.
- Store reconstituted solution at 2–8 °C and use within the study window.
- Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
- Handle under standard laboratory practice with appropriate PPE.
Shipping & documentation
Orders are dispatched same-day when placed before 14:00 local time. Compounds ship lyophilized and are shelf-stable in transit; packaging is discreet and tamper-evident with tracking on every order.
A lot-specific Certificate of Analysis is issued for every batch and is available from the lab results library.
